Zend Framework and Dojo sitting in a tree…
We’re a bit late with this information but for the sake of completeness we have to echo the news that Zend Framework and the Dojo Javascript toolkit are now partners.
Matthew Weier O’Phinney’s post has some interesting code examples while Andi Gutman’s post goes into more detail about the agreement itself.

in my opinion dojo toolkit shouldn’t be bundled with zend framework, cause ZF is a php “framework” that was created for regular web application developers and not for stupid little kids that even don’t know how to download dojo.
(just take a look at some zfforums.com post – there are people that don’t even know what arrays in php are – pathetic)
ZF mustn’t get involved in such things. It should become compatible with ajax solutions but not specifically one product (here dojo). If it goes this way we’ll end up in cms, rather than a framework
However, the idea of improving compatibility with ajax sounds great!

Any chance you’ll do a tutorial on turning the Login form from your book ZFiA into a dojo login form?

There’s a very good chance that I’ll be doing something on Dojo soon as I’ve been writing a Dojo form recently. I nearly understand it too!

Rob…
